The Nigerian football federation through a member of the technical
sub-committee has given both the National U17 and U20 sides confidence
boost ahead of major tournaments they will participate in early next
year.
Paul Bassey who is also a member of the CAF media committee says at
the youth level, Nigeria remains the toast of Africa and believes that
both the Flying Eagles and the Golden Eaglets will do Nigeria proud come
2015.
“I’m not scared of opposition at this level because at so many times,
we have gone to conquer the world but I know that Ivory Coast has a
good record too in Africa but I know that we would hold our own, I’m
not scare and I am sure that we will qualify”
The 2015 African U-20 Championship will be the 20th edition of the
football tournament for Under 20 players. The competition will take
place in Senegal from 8–22 March 2015. The semifinalists will
participate in 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
