Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse has been banned for three games after accepting a Football Association charge of violent conduct.
The Senegal striker clashed with Seamus Coleman during Newcastle's 3-2 win over Everton at St James' Park on Sunday and appeared to elbow the Toffees defender in the face as they tussled at a corner.
However, the referee issued no punishment to Cisse and he went on to score as the home side picked up all three points.
The FA subsequently took retrospective action against the forward, and he will serve a three-match ban after choosing not to appeal the decision, starting with Burnley's visit to Tyneside on New Year's Day.
Cisse, who has scored nine goals this season, will also be suspended for the club's FA Cup clash with Leicester City and the visit to Chelsea on January 10.
