With Nigeria drawn along with host Niger, Guinea and Zambia in group A
of the 2015 U-17 African Championship, Coach of the Eaglets, Emmanuel
Amuneke has ruled out any chance of an extended holiday for the team.
The draws for the 11th edition of the U-17 African Championships were
concluded yesterday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Reacting to the draws, Amuneke said that the team
is behind scheduled and insists the team would be working through the
festive period as there will be no christmas break for the team, with
the tournament just 2 months away.
” We have to focus on the task at hand. After qualifying for the World in Chile, then we can go out and celebrate.”
” We don’t have time now, we must work and prepare ourselves,” Amuneke said.
