The ATP World Tour Finals continued in London on Monday afternoon, with local favourite Andy Murray completing a 6-4 6-4 victory over David Ferrer.

While the Scot wasn't at his best, he still had more than enough to dispatch the Spaniard.

Both players struggled with unforced errors, 24 apiece, but Ferrer's mistakes, which included eight double faults, came at more crucial times.

And while Murray made his fair share of mistakes, he also hit 23 winners to Ferrer's 14.
The first set stayed on serve for the first nine games, although Murray started applying more and more pressure as the set progressed, setting up a break point in the fourth game and three more in the eighth - though Ferrer saved them all.

It was a similar story in the 10th game, however, and facing break point again, Ferrer double-faulted, handing Murray the set.

The Spaniard came out firing in the second, breaking in the first game before holding for a 2-0 lead, but he was powerless to prevent Murray from breaking back in the sixth game to get back on level terms.

Serving to stay in the match at 4-5, a crucial backhand error handed Murray another opening, and the Scot would snaffle his third break soon after to complete the victory in 92 minutes.
