Former Barcelona captain Puyol, hopes that Xavi gets his dream ending at Barcelona by lifting the UCL trophy.
The ace midfielder is poised for a move to Al Sadd in Qatar after the season comes to an end and has helped them to the domestic double.
Puyol though wants his successor to complete the treble and lift the UCL.
“I really hope he can do it,” he told Sport.
“I’m confident in the team and it’d be a great image for him to finish his time as a Barca player.
“Xavi has lifted trophies as captain, but I hope he can lift the Champions League, which is different.”
