FBL-WC-2014-NGR-PRESSER

The fate of out of contract Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi is been delayed as a result of the on-going campaign for the 2015 general election, even as his future would be decided after the election.

Although Keshi arrived the country last week from the United States where he had gone to see his family, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials had refused to discuss his future, preferring to put it on hold until after the election.
Their position was premised on the fact that if a new government emerges, his contract may not be renewed.
On his part, the coach was banking on his connection in high places to have his contract renewed.
Officials were said to be delaying a decision to avoid another experience of succumbing to instructions from above to give him a fresh contract.
Keshi was believed to be pulling all strings to have a new contract, while the NFF was not too comfortable with his return.
The coach who was earlier linked to other countries failed to land any of the job.
