Global sports fashion brand, Nike has gifted Cristaino Ronaldo personalised diamond-encrusted gold boots dubbed ‘Mercurial CR7 Rare Gold boot’. According to Nike, the boots was designed specifically for the football star after wining his 3rd Ballon d’Or award on Monday, January 12, 2015. As a tribute to Ronaldo’s work ethic, Nike explained the choice of the colour of the boots saying: The Mercurial CR7 Rare Gold boots is the first time in Nike history, micro-diamonds have been applied by hand to the CR7 logo of the boot.
