Senegal and Besiktas striker, Demba Ba, has expressed anger at missing out on the 28-man Senegal provisional squad for the 2015 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set for Equatorial Guinea from mid January to early February 2015.
The former Chelsea and Newcastle United striker has urged the national team coach, Alain Giresse to explain why he was left out despite having scored 16 goals in 19 appearances for his current club so far this season. ‘I can’t wait to hear his excuses and destroy them one by one,’ Ba posted on his Twitter account.
‘The coach called and said that I needed to rest and take care of my ankle. It feels strange to me as I am completely fit and able to play football,’ the 29 year old told a Senegalese publication before adding: ‘If Alain Giresse wanted to include me, he would have done so as he knows that my ankle is completely fine,’ he added....
