Enyimba chairman, Felix Anyansi-Agwu, has called on the players to resume training for the new season after he promised they will be paid their outstanding entitlements before next month’s CAF Champions League clash.
The chairman Anyansi was in camp today (Monday) and called on the old players to resume training that they will be paid before the Champions League first leg match,” an inside source informed AfricanFootball.comThe old players of the team have stayed away from training due to the unpaid entitlements from last season, but were addressed at the team’s camp on Monday by the club boss that they will soon smile to bank.
“The old players have not been training since but he assured them they will be paid.”
The players are been owed 25 match bonuses last season and about 75% of their sign on fee.
Enyimba finished runners-up in the Nigeria League last season and won the FA Cup.
The club will host Buffles du Borgou FC of Benin Republic in a CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg match on February 14.
