Former coach of the Super Falcons Ismaila Mabo has tipped Asisat Oshoala to shine at next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
Speaking in an interview with Sports Radio, 88.9 Brila FM, Mabo stated that her feat at the U-20 World Cup last year said: “Asisat is the new revelation in women’s football in Nigeria,” he began.
“She has the energy and the talent to succeed and I am confident she will make an impact for Nigeria at the World Cup next year.
Mabo who was in charge when the Falcons made it to the quarter-final of the 1999 Women’s World Cup in the United States, hailed the general performance of the country’s women’s teams this year.
He called for an adequate preparation ahead of next year’s Women’s World Cup.
“I think our women have done well this year. They’ve been able to regain our lost glory especially in the hands of Equatorial Guinea , they’ve gotten their bearings.”
