Dynamo Kiev midfielder Lukman Haruna is ready to return to action after missing out on the first half of the Ukrainian season due to a knee injury.


Haruna who featured for over 80 minutes for the Super Eagles selected side against Westerlo FC in Tuesday’s novelty game which ended 4-2 in favour of the academy disclosed that he hopes to improve on his fitness level before the start of the season and help his side win the title.

“I’m just itching to get out there and play a game in the New Year,” he told Complete Sports
“It’s been frustrating missing major part of the season due to injury but I’m desperate to get back when the season resumes in Februar.”

Haruna also hopes Dynamo can maintain their unbeaten run in the league. It will be fulfilling to keep winning our games because it will boost our chances of lifting the title after six years.
“We stand a big chance and I hope we can continue in that stride,” he added.

The midfielder previously played for AS Monaco until 2011 before moving to Dynamo Kiev. He has been capped for Nigeria at U-17 and U-20 level as well as representing the Super Eagles.
