Chelsea have ensured that they will carry a three point lead into the Christmas period after a hard fought 2-0 win over Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
Chelsea were ahead as early as the fifth minute as Terry rose highest to meet Fabregas corner and give the blues the lead. Stoke City struggled to make inroads in the Chelsea half as Matic and Mikel proved just too strong for the Stoke midfield to bully. Chelsea carved Stoke City open a couple of times in both halves but did not capitalize until the 78th minute when Fabregas was put through on goal by Hazard and the Spaniard was able to slot the ball into the net.
Stoke City tried to mount to mount a fight but Chelsea were just too good in the night.
